We Love Manchester – Parade
Commissioned by We Love Manchester Charity
Asked to design and make an impactful, portable procession piece based on their logo, that’s just what we did. It was the first time the charity had been part of the Manchester Day Parade and they certainly got noticed!
The We Love MCR Charity aims to improve the lives and life chances of Manchester People with their simple message – “Give a little, Help a lot”
In 2013 they travelled travelled down Deansgate watched by tens of thousands of people.
One hundred and thirty community groups were represented in floats travelling from Castlefield to Albert Square.
The floats arrived in Albert Square to be met by a carousel and a 500-strong choir.
City councillor Pat Karney described the parade as “a great celebration of Manchester “saying he was “constantly amazed by the art works that are produced and the enthusiasm of all the participants”.
