Blood and Bone Exhibition alongside Louise Bourgeois

‘Blood and Bone’ has been chosen to show alongside a Louise Bourgeois exhibition which sees work from her Autobiographical Series and a selection her work from the Arts Council Collection.
The work will be shown at the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire from 1st July to 16th September 2017

Blood and Bone is evocative of our human biology, the macroscopic and the microscopic. Through a series of connected intimate spaces which echo human anatomy and its inner workings, viewers are immersed in a familar and fantastical terrain which invites us to re-frame our own bodies as landscapes for exploration. Through sensory interaction and play, viewers are encouraged to become active participants in the artwork, transforming the usual art – viewer relationship.
